Your donation will have a big impact
We offer programs to help teenagers acquire knowledge that will enable them to succeed, better manage their finances, or start a business. We also focus on building their self-esteem and confidence to succeed. Our mission drives two strategic priorities. First, we help teenagers and young adults achieve financial independence. And second, we help improve the health of the community.
Your support of the Sherrod Foundation will help save lives. By focusing on preventing type 2 diabetes and reducing vaping, we will provide the information, knowledge, tools, and lifestyle changes necessary to save lives. According to the CDC, 30.3 million US adults have diabetes and 1 in 4 of them don’t know they have it. 84.1 million have prediabetes.
Vaping is a growing problem, with 9 million Americans doing it. The US rate is three times the rate of the United Kingdom. Nearly 1 in 3 high school students reported using e-cigarettes in a survey by the American Medical Association.
We have 13 in-person workshops for teenagers and young adults. We have 16 online video workshops for their parents.
Thank You
We could not support the community without the help of our sponsors, donors, contributors and volunteers.

Transparency
Officials, managers, board members, and other staff are not paid, so we can assure our donors that most funds support the community. You can read our donors bill of rights at the bottom of this page.

Integrity
We are transparent about our funding sources and all expenses. We use the #1 industry leader, QuickBooks, for our financial tracking system. We utilize an outside CPA firm for tax and compliance.

Respect
Distressed families are a result of their environment and need support to help themselves improve their condition without judgment.
Help us empower our children and save lives.
Mission:
Improving communities by helping children and saving lives by providing knowledge and self-help actions
